Senior Anti-Money Laundering Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned AML Specialist to join our team at our Bradford head office.

About the Role:

  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert across all Financial Crime areas and establishing a strong control framework within the Financial Crime operational team.
  • Supporting AML Managers in enhancing team performance to align with YBS's strategic objectives.
  • Focusing on safeguarding customers and YBS while meeting regulatory obligations.

You will be responsible for translating and executing Divisional plans to achieve Group strategic goals, as well as developing the team's capacity for long-term commercial success. Your duties will include analysing customer behavior to identify suspicious activity, offering guidance to colleagues, handling complex cases, and collaborating with external authorities to mitigate risks.

About You:

  • Experience in developing and implementing AML operational strategies to protect customers and the business.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial crime regulations, especially AML and fraud.
  • Understanding of regulatory systems and reporting requirements related to financial crime in financial institutions.
  • Experience in leading and developing an AML operational team to drive high performance.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development to enhance skills and expertise.
