My client are experts in all things consumer and location, bringing together cutting-edge analytical techniques, creative thinking and diverse perspectives to drive growth for our clients.

They are looking for a Data Scientist to join their Integrated Marketing Group.

As part of the wider Marketing Solutions Division you will be joining a 250 strong team working in over 50 markets globally.


My client have a wide-ranging client list, working with some of the biggest and innovative brands in the UK across utilities, gaming, publishing, retail and consumer packaged goods, leisure, financial services and beyond.


Working in the Data Science & Insight Team, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering a wide range of supervised and unsupervised learning projects using behavioural, transactional, digital and demographic data sources.


You will have the technical know-how in terms of statistics, mathematics and coding languages, but just as importantly you will be comfortable scoping, presenting and explaining recommendations to clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead the delivery of a wide range of bespoke data science projects, using a range of environments and machine learning technique ensuring they are delivered on budget, on time and on scope
  • Develop an indepth understanding of my client's data and inhouse systems
  • Work alongside a variety of teams, from sales and account managers, through to statisticians and database technicians
  • Present your own work to client stakeholders in a way that is insightful, meets the objectives, and is tailored to the audience
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives within the team, which constantly seek to improve efficiencies, develop new propositions, and research new ideas
  • Support and mentor other members of the team as we continue to migrate from SAS to Python and onsite to AWS
  • Contribute to scoping projects and writing proposals overlaying a data science foundation with a commercial lens
  • Adhere to my client's core values at all times: transparency, honesty, and integrity we always do what's right and what's best for their clients

Ideal to have:

  • Experience (or a demonstrable interest in) delivering actionable insights in a marketing environment
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in an approachable manner, both written and verbally a strong level of English is desired
  • Superb analytical and problemsolving skills, coupled with the ability to step back and seek appropriate alternatives
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL, ad Python and/or R
  • Understanding of how consumers interact with brands, both on
- and offline

  • Knowledge of econometric and attribution modelling
  • Knowledge of cloud solutions such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and AWS
  • Knowledge of digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics
  • Knowledge of data visualisations tools such as Power BI or Tableau
