Description
A cleaning vacancy has arisen with our Westhaven Hospital Facilities team within Dorset HealthCare.

The cleaning role would include cleaning duties in our inpatient ward.


The hours would be:

Sunday hrs (to include 30 minutes unpaid break)

Wednesday hrs (to include 30 minutes unpaid break)

Saturday hrs (to include 30 minutes unpaid break)

Weekends are paid at enhanced rates.


As part of your cleaning role, you will be expected to clean to a high standard in a hospital setting.

Training is provided as well as ongoing support within a team environment.

Clean any areas of hospital/clinic as required by the supervisory staff

Carry out cleaning programme/schedules as required by the supervisory staff Observe all safety practices including the prevention of cross infection by the use of colour coded equipment

Observe clinical waste procedures disposing of household waste as directed by domestic supervisors

Knowledge of cleaning procedures and COSHH

Follow safe systems of work and report hazards to the Hospital Services Manager in accordance with Health and Safety procedures

To assist with breakfast and carrying out tea rounds to patients

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS).
