Post Title Assistant Administrator (Exams, Awards and Graduation)
SBU/Department: Academic Registry / Academic Services, Exams and Awards office
FTE: 0.7 FTE (working 25.9 hours per week)
Duration of Contract: Permanent
Salary: UH4 £24,248 pro rata to £25,138 pro rata with the potential to progress to £27,181 pro rata by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience


Annual Leave:

25 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: MacLaurin Building, Bishops Square
Main duties and responsibilities- This is an interesting and varied position which will provide you with an opportunity to enhance your administrative experience, with appropriate training and support from our friendly team.


Skills and experience required

  • The role requires a high level of accuracy with data input, a strong eye for detail, and the flexibility to work on a wide range of different processes and regulations. You will also need excellent organisational and communication skills, the ability to use initiative, and a flexible approach in delivering to deadlines and working effectively with key individuals.
  • The post holder will have administrative experience and good IT skills including the use of Microsoft. You will need to bring a willingness to be flexible in time and in workload to support effective team working and to facilitate seamless customer service to our students, graduates and external contacts.
    Qualifications required
  • You will be educated to a minimum of 5 GCSES including Grade C or above in Maths and English or with proven work experience.
