Human Resource Officer
We are looking for an experienced standalone HR Officer to join a group of 2 busy manufacturing SMEs.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a great opportunity to make a real impact, influence organisational development and drive the HR function forward.
This role would suit an HR professional keen to make a difference and use their range of skills to manage the full employee lifecycle.
30 hours per week - either 4 full days, or 5 days part-time hours.Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all employees
- Provide advice and support to management team on all people related matters
- Manage employee training and development
- Arrange regular employee 121 appraisal meetings and help create action plans
- Attend weekly management team meetings to ensure HR aligns with the wider business objectives
- Administer recruitment process, ensuring selection procedures are fair and consistent
- Manage onboarding process
- Research and assess staff morale; suggest changes to improve morale
- Maintain company policies, procedures, and handbook
- Update and oversee performance management and absence/sickness management
- Holiday, life insurance, and private medical administration
- Manage any disciplinary and grievance processes
- All other relevant miscellaneous HR duties
Requirements:
- Experience of the full range of HR duties
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to take a strategic view of workforce requirements
- Understanding of the changing employment landscape
- A background of working with SME's
- Strong knowledge of relevant UK employment law
- Positive; conscientious and professional attitude with a focus on confidentiality
Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week
Salary:
£28,000.00 per year
