We're seeking a future team member for the role of Counsel - Commercial Law Group to join our Legal team.

This role is located in Manchester or Edinburgh

Job Purpose/Responsibilities

Requirements:

Legal Degree, previous experience working in Legal practice focusing on negotiating software licensing and development contracts, technology and business outsourcing transactions
3 years + PQE in a law firm or inhouse legal department. Inhouse experience at a financial institution is an advantage
Experience with vendor management and third party governance
Demonstrable ability to quickly analyse problems and to devise and deliver appropriate solutions;
Knowledge of regulatory guidance on outsourcing and other third party relationships (e.g., EBA, FFIEC, HKMA)
Knowledge of global privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, GLBA, CCPA) is a plus
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to deliver timely, excellent work product in a pressurized environment.
Ability to interact effectively with and guide clients and legal counsel.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience with contract lifecycle management tools is a plus.
Creative thinker with a high degree of selfmotivation and ability to work both independently and as part of a global team
