A family of 52 educational institutions serving over 28,000 students from a variety of backgrounds, our academies seek to close the educational gap that exists between disadvantaged students andtheir more privileged counterparts.

Our Community Hubs are integral to making this change.

We are currently looking for a Community Hub Leader to lead and develop our Oasis Hub Foundry and Boulton on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role
As a Community Hub Leader, you will lead on the development of the Oasis Hub Foundry and Boulton.

Based out of the Community Hub at Oasis Academy Foundry and the Thrive Room at Oasis Academy Boulton, our hub is actively engaged in creating a community that is characterised by trust, safety, cohesion, mutual support, vibrancy, health and opportunity.

Ouraim is to help to create a local community where people of all ages and situations feel included, know that they can contribute and realise a deep sense of belonging.

You'll develop and co-ordinate the provision of a range of local support services and engagement opportunities, including foodbanks, financial and legal advice services, youthwork and community events.

Building positive working relationships with local groups and stakeholders, you will enhance engagement and ensure the delivery of a community hub plan that addresses the needs of children and young people.


Additionally, you will:

  • Lead our income generation strategy
  • Seek opportunities to maximise funding
  • Complete financial reporting
  • Develop, support and manage a team of staff and volunteers
  • Implement a clear monitoring and evaluation plan for all aspects of Hub delivery
  • Oversee our communication strategy

About You
To be considered as a Community Hub Leader, you will need:

  • Experience of leading community delivery
  • Experience of growing projects from the initial startup phase through to maturity
  • Experience of working with young people and communities
  • Experience of strategic management within a school, statutory, voluntary or commercial organisation
  • Experience of competitive bidding and budget management
  • A proven record of successful leadership of a community project or an area of school development at a senior level
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles of community work
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • IT proficiency
  • A degree or an equivalent and/or relevant professional qualification in community development or teaching
