Description

We are looking to recruit a Fitness Instructor to join our dedicated and motivated MSK therapy team on a part time (34 hours a week) permanent basis.

You will work alongside an established team of Physiotherapists who are committed to providing the highest standard of patient care.


The position will provide a broad range of both peripheral and spinal problems that present in both an acute and persistent manner.

You will be expected to manage your own caseload of patients and classes (including aquatic therapy), as well as working closely within the MSK therapy team and the wider MDT.


  • To assess and instruct patients in both individual and group exercises. To be able to progress exercises as appropriate.
  • To independently plan appropriate exercises and rehabilitation in accordance with patient's individual needs. Feed back on their progress to the Physiotherapist.
  • Ensure that assessment areas are cleaned, kept tidy and that all equipment is maintained well and safe to use.
  • To assist in hydrotherapy sessions as required
  • To undertake designated tasks without supervision of a qualified Therapist including treatment of MSK patients
  • Carry out procedures with patients and equipment that require moderate to heavy physical effort on a daily basis.
  • To be involved in maintaining stock levels in the department.
  • To maintain competence and ensure is keeping up to date with mandatory training and appraisals
