Kitchen Fitter - London, United Kingdom - APS Catering Engineers

Description

This job requires the employee to have the necessary experience to operate on-site within an individual or team environment. Appropriate on-site health and safety qualifications such as the CSCS card is a must. We are looking for someone who has the skills of a fitter and can undertake various tasks with competence.

Throughout most projects we have to connect water and waste supplies to kitchen machinery such as Rational Combi Ovens, Winterhalter Dishwashers and Bespoke fabricated stainless steel sinks etc.

It must be noted that we desire someone who lives within or nearby the area of London and is willing to commute to various sites.

Essential Criteria:

The ability to operate within a team environment and adapt to different scenarios, situations and changes on a day to day basis.

Reflective listening and sufficient communication skills are required as taking instructions from a team leader or reporting to office staff will be an everyday occurrence.

The recording of information such as taking pictures of machinery data plates and uploading them to our systems is imperative as we require them for commissioning sheets.

Due to a busy schedule and monthly planning we expect exceptional punctuation from our staff.

Past experience and the safe use of power tools is important as we use them regularly. These can be supplied including PPE but not hand tools.

We want someone who demonstrates initiative. This means helping the team by any means possible.

Keeping the workplace a clean and tidy environment is critical to ensure the health and safety of all workers on-site.

The enthusiasm to learn new skills within various trades is sought after. We are willing to enrol employees onto courses which may strengthen their abilities as a fitter/engineer.

This job requires adequate physical health as the manual handling of machinery is daily.

Past experience working within a trade is important but not essential.


Desirable Criteria:
Full UK driving license.

Past experience/qualifications in various trades such as plumbing and electrical engineering.

£16,800.00-£25,000.00 per year
