You will be joining as a Senior Risk and Control lead in our Embedded Risk Team in London.

The Risk and Control Team ensures the Bank's control priorities are effectively implemented across Investment Banking, Anti-Financial-Crime (AFC) and Compliance Technology.

Our mission is to reduce the organisation's technology risk exposure by implementing key bank controls, ensuring appropriate and timely resolution of audit issues, and participating in the Bank's control design implementations.

The team offers dedicated support for each Chief Information Officer (CIO) business line, advisory services for control responses, and program management services for broad control uplifts.

Your role is integral in supporting the front-line management in identifying, assessing/measuring risks, identifying remediation actions, and monitoring risks, and you will be facing off to Anti-Financial-Crime Technology CIO and Compliance Technology CIO.

Your key responsibilities

  • Partner closely with technology, business and control stakeholders in the development and execution of the bank risk framework
  • Responsible for internal and external audits within the area and will also review lifecycle event documentation. Provide oversight of external regulatory examinations
  • Assess potential risks across various technology platform from the business function perspective
  • Work with the control teams to identify and resolve potential issues in control design. Suggest effectiveness metrics, ensure control design includes proper evidence, and provide input to the design and effectiveness of centrally provided tooling
  • Manage a small team of experts and collaborate across the wider organisation

Your skills and experience

  • Strong background in technology risk management, audit management and/or information security risk management
  • Detailoriented, with exceptional analytical and problemsolving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to present ideas and concepts effectively
  • Experience in assessing risk, writing issues, and developing appropriate corrective actions
  • Proactive and able to collaborate and work effectively with crossfunctional teams; familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements is a plus
  • Confidence to make autonomous decisions and ability to cope well in sometimes challenging situations
