Description

MHVG IS RECRUITING FOR A

PROJECT COORDINATOR (Job Share)

_Pay_:
£15.62 per hour

_Hours_: 7.5 hours per week (flexible)

_Purpose of Job_:

For over a decade, Morton Hall Visitors Group has provided crucial friendship and support to people in immigration detention. Now, we are looking for a new Project Coordinator to join our expanding team.

Currently, we provide drop-in support at the Swinderby Short Term Holding Facility and are looking to imminently start visiting at HMP Morton Hall, a prison exclusively for 'foreign nationals.

We are also exploring options to expand our services when the asylum accommodation site at Scampton opens.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding our volunteer visitor network to support this new phase of our work.

Working alongside our existing Project Coordinator, you will coordinate the core functions of our visitor network - from organising training and supporting volunteer visitors, to liaising with the management of the centres we visit.

You will also support the day-to-day operations of the charity.

We are looking for someone who is organised, skilled at multitasking and, above all, passionate about supporting those in detention.

This is a unique post that would suit an enthusiastic, experienced individual who is keen to further develop their experience in the charity sector.
