Music Centre Assistant Administrator (0.8FTE)

Salary on appointment will be £21,197 per annum (pro rata), with an annual increment up to £23,144 per annum (pro rata)


An exciting chance has arisen for an Assistant Administrator to undertake secretarial and administrative duties to assist the UEA Music Centre and deliver a strong customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.


In this role you will assist with the arrangement and delivery of over ten concerts and events per year, manage and develop the Music Centre's social media presence and assist with the recruitment and management of the Music Centre's three choirs and orchestra.


In addition, you will assist with the management of two financial schemes for talented UEA student musicians, manage the Music Centre's practice and rehearsal facilities, and assist with the day to day running of the Music Centre.


You will need to have 5 GCSE passes at Grade A-C including English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications or experience.

You will need proven experience of delivering great customer service and the ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload.


Experience of using social media for publicity and communication is a must, along with experience of working in a busy office environment and events organisation.

Some evening and weekend working is required. Understanding of how music is organised and experience in HE would both be an advantage.

This part-time post (0.8FTE) is available on an indefinite basis.
