VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR - PRIMARY SCHOOL READING
LET'S READ PROGRAMME
Hours:28 per week

MAIN PURPOSE OF POST:
Coordination of the Let's Read Programme
Income generation to ensure the sustainability of the programme
Lead signatory for the charity's DBS Registered Body Service
DUTIES:
To co-ordinate and support the volunteers in participating primary schools
To work with local businesses, communities and external agencies to recruit volunteers for the programme
To develop and maintain effective working relationships with local businesses to encourage staff to participate in employee volunteer programmes
To develop and sustain effective working relationships with the relevant staff members in participating primary schools
To organise and deliver training events for new volunteers both in the community and in businesses
To update volunteer information packs and training materials
To organise and co-ordinate volunteer placements and induction sessions
To provide support to, and communicate regularly with, volunteers
To manage, monitor and further develop a system of feedback, review and evaluation to ensure effective delivery of the programme
To generate income for the programme through grant submissions, school fees and general fundraising
To collate and submit relevant evidence and documentation for grant reports
To organise payment of termly fees for school volunteer provision
Ensure safeguarding policies and protocols are adhered to
To organise payment of invoices for collection of DBS charges
GENERAL:
Attendance at internal and external meetings as required
Attendance at out-of-hour events, recruitment, training and other relevant sessions as required
To perform in a professional and appropriate manner at all times as a representative of Learning
Partnerships
Any other duties which are commensurate with the post
