About The Role


Colleagues working with the Energy Operations team are responsible for the operation and maintenance of all pressure regulating installations, pipelines, and their associated systems, efficiently, effectively and safely.


Key Accountabilities
Your day-to-day tasks will include (but are not limited to)

  • Attend and advise 3rd party companies on works and their impact on our Cadent' assets
  • Supervise excavations that are in close proximity to Cadent's assets
  • Carry out pipeline inspections and maintenance in line with the company policies and procedures
  • Respond to sightings of works that are in proximity of Cadent pipelines
  • Carry out condition monitoring of the pipeline and other assets


Energy Operations are looking to develop a multi skilled team and as further accountabilities around the maintenance of pressure control assets will be introduced as part the ongoing transformation of the team.

These tasks will include (but are not limitedto)

  • Carry out maintenance tasks on pressure regulation installations (working up to 85 bar) in line with policies and procedures
  • Attend faults identified through Cadents control systems within the times set out in our service level agreements
  • Support our delivery and maintenance of PMAC and MEG

About You
We're looking for people who act with pride, purpose and ownership to join us, along with:

  • At least 3-5 years of proven and demonstrable experience of working in gas asset operation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of maintenance activities, both for pressure regulation installations and pipelines
  • Strong communication and a key focus on safety is essential
  • Hold a full valid UK driving licence
  • Are willing to work flexible hours
  • Are willing to work on standby
