Technical Delivery Lead


We have recently announced the creation of Pilgrim's Shared Services, a fourth stand-alone company, which will bring together some of the support functions of our current three businesses (Moy Park, excluding France and Netherlands, Pilgrim's UK & Pilgrim's Food Masters).

Its purpose is to deliver a high-quality shared service to those three businesses.


As the business grows, this shared service will broaden opportunities for career development as part of a far larger organisation.

We will also continue our investment in technology to drive efficiencies and improved ways of working.

This is a newly created role reporting to the

IT Infrastructure Manager, we are pleased to advise that we are now recruiting for an

Technical Delivery Lead.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:The overall job purpose is to successfully lead and manage all activities in relation to delivering an assigned portfolio of Infrastructure and Operations Projects within budget, timescale, quality and resource that addresses business needs and delivers competitive advantage, best in class performance, standardisation, or cost reduction as part of the Infrastructure and Operations roadmap.


Technical Project management

  • Project manage the analysis, design, development, configuration and deployment of the assigned Infrastructure and Operations solutions.
  • Manages and develops Project plans within the framework of our PMO methodology.
  • Engage with Senior Managers and Heads of Departments within the business and IT on all significant projects and support through a good project governance.
  • Defines, details and agrees projects costs and benefits. Manage assigned project budgets and progress against plan.
  • Document all project risks and issues, assign responsibilities and validate progress on resolution.
  • Take on lead role to coordinate projects activity to prioritise and optimise delivery of projects.
  • Ensure delivery of projects is aligned to business strategy and requirements.
  • Technical delivery of Infrastructure and Operations projects.

Business Planning and General Management

  • Take ownership of Infrastructure and Operations Delivery in relation to assigned projects
  • Implement Infrastructure and Operations solution strategy and business plan that aligns to IT Strategy
  • Support development and shaping of Infrastructure and Operations implementation programme

Methodology and Quality Assurance

  • Build and maintain repository for Infrastructure and Operations deliverables, methodologies, and business development documents
  • Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources.
  • Collaborates with Infrastructure Specialists, Service Delivery Specialist and Site Services to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan, and serve as a lead as required, to implement the installation, configuration and transition into support.
  • Oversee aspects of project life cycle, from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design, and implementation phases for projects within the Infrastructure and Operations solution area.
  • Provide quality assurance for IS within the solution area

What You'll Need

  • Proven leadership experience of managing large scale transformational projects
  • Experience of working in multisite processing industries, ideally FMCG.
  • Experience delivering projects through good PMO governance
  • Experience working within Infrastructure and Operations Delivery
  • Knowledge of testing processes
  • Stakeholder Analysis & Management
  • Experience of presenting and chairing meetings senior management
  • Strong Technical Background, with the ability to deliver technical infrastructure projects. You will need to converse at a technical level with technical resources, to ensure planning and delivery are aligned and timescales are met
