Apprenticeship Course Manger - Land Based Service Engineering

York Campus

Full time, 37 hours per week, permanent role

£30,710 - £33,544 per annum, dependant on experience


Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield and Newcastle.


We offer a wide-ranging curriculum to our Further Education students, including Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Management, Countryside and the Environment, Engineering, Equine, Floristry, Motorsport, Professional Tree Surgery, Outdoor Adventure Sport, Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness and Uniformed Public Services.


We have an exciting opportunity for a Land Based Service Engineering Apprenticeship Course Manager to join our Apprenticeships Department based here at our York campus.

This role will be working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.

  • Inspecting and testing methods relating to land based equipment.
  • Ci and Si Engine technology
  • Electrical systems relating to land based machinery and equipment.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems involved with and incorporated on to land based equipment
  • Transmission systems.
  • Diagnostic practices and procedures using digital technology and diagnostic aids.
  • Working knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques.
