Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Catering Manager for our clients based on Burton-On-Trent, Derbyshire.

This is a permanent position for the right catering.


Role Responsibilities:

  • To manage the provision of catering and hospitality throughout the school.
  • Oversee the preparation, cooking and service of food throughout the school.
  • Plan, operate and control the production and service of food related duties.
  • Setting ou programmes of work and supervising catering staff.
  • Responsible for all kitchen and dining area being maintained to the required standard in line with Health and Safety and Hygiene standards.
  • Ensure compliance will all relevant current legislation in relation to health and safety, C.O.S.H.H. and food safety.
  • Ensure storage and management of food and other consumable in line with health and safety and food safety regulations.
  • To review services and products on a regular basis to ensure customer requirements are being met.
  • Devise, plan and prepare menus.
  • Order food and other commodities from suppliers.
  • Ensure a costeffective sales mix for all outlets to ensure budget targets are net.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Relevant Training and Cookery Qualification or equivalent experience required.
  • Food Safety Level 2

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Food Hygiene and cookery skills.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Experience of working to deadlines, producing reports and analysis data.
30 hours per week, term time (38 weeks plus 6 days)

FTE salary £22,369, actual salary £19,339 per annum
