The Head of Platform Delivery is a key role that is part of the Technology management team here at activpayroll, responsible for setting a strategy for the Platform Engineering team and helping to implement it.

Working with the other functions within the technology team, you will ensure the continuous delivery of technology solutions within the organisation across the core hybrid-cloud platform.

On a typical day
:

You'll lead, coach and mentor the platform team
Developing, owning and delivering the technology roadmap
You'll be working closely with the Technology Management Team to develop the business strategy and communicate as a collective to our stakeholders
Be the lead knowledge transfer and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Respond swiftly to new and emerging security threats and vulnerabilities
You'll stay on top of technical developments of operational importance to the organisation and identify best practice technologies
You'll plan, own and manage the delivery of quarterly OKRs
You'll be responsible for the delivery of the Platform Support service, ensuring that incidents, problems and service requests meet SLAs

Does this sound like you?:

You're a technical expert with experience in a technology management role
You are highly adaptable and have excellent problem solving skills
Experienced with the management and orchestration of onpremise, hybrid and private/public cloud environments
You have familiarity with the following technologies: Servers (especially Windows), Virtualisation Platforms (eg Nutanix), Networking components (firewall, VPN Concentrator etc), Cloud Platforms (eg Azure) & Integration (SFTP, APIs etc)
You have fantastic communication and customer service skills
