Joining the team as a Warehouse Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing the warehouse teams whilst motivating employees.

Ensuring all aspects of Health & Safety are maintained will be an important part of this role, as well as ensuring the productis picked and dispatched to the highest standard in order to meet set KPI's.


Shifts: 4 on 4 off, 18:00 - 06:00

Main Responsibilities:


  • Leading a team of Team Leaders and General Warehouse Operatives in their daily workload.
  • Ensuring that orders are picked, marshalled, unloaded and loaded in line with Customer specifications.
  • Carrying out daily inspections of the work place to ensure full compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring that a high standard of Health & Safety is adhered to at all times.
  • Communicating regularly with Team Leaders/Senior Managers regarding any issues that may arise within the warehouse.
  • Managing the team's performance in line with KPI's as required.
  • Completing and carrying out Personal Development Plans for all members of the team.
  • Adhering to Hygiene policy, ensuring that the companies waste management program is adhered to and that we remain BRC compliant.
  • Ensuring that there is adequate support for the picking, marshalling, cleaning, goodsin, pallet checking teams at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience within a similar management position, ideally within a 3PL environment.
  • A good working knowledge of full warehouse and logistics operations.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to make decisions.
  • Strong and effective communicator at all levels.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively across multifunctional depts.
  • Strong attention to detail/accuracy.
  • Computer Literate in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or as standalone.
  • Conscientious and reliable with a flexible attitude.
  • The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
