We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to join our team at botanic lodge nursery.

SENCO, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to ensure they receive the necessary support and accommodations to thrive academically and socially.

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to create a supportive learning environment for students with SEND
Conduct assessments to identify students' specific needs and develop appropriate interventions
Provide guidance and support to teachers in implementing effective strategies for students with SEND
Monitor student progress and make necessary adjustments to intervention plans as needed
Coordinate with external agencies and specialists to provide additional support services for students
Support the development of inclusive practices within the school community
Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff on topics related to special educational needs

'''Requirements'''

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a preschool or early childhood setting
Knowledge of different learning difficulties and disabilities, as well as strategies for supporting students with SEND
Familiarity with behavior management techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Experience in mentoring or providing guidance to other educators is desirable
