We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to join our team at botanic lodge nursery.

As a
SENCO, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to ensure they receive the necessary support and accommodations to thrive academically and socially.

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to create a supportive learning environment for students with SEND
  • Conduct assessments to identify students' specific needs and develop appropriate interventions
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers in implementing effective strategies for students with SEND
  • Monitor student progress and make necessary adjustments to intervention plans as needed
  • Coordinate with external agencies and specialists to provide additional support services for students
  • Support the development of inclusive practices within the school community
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff on topics related to special educational needs
'''Requirements'''

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a preschool or early childhood setting
  • Knowledge of different learning difficulties and disabilities, as well as strategies for supporting students with SEND
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in mentoring or providing guidance to other educators is desirable
