Is this role for you?
An exciting opportunity for a Human Resource Advisor to join the HR team, at our Newcastle site. You will play a key part in supporting the HR function at a fast paced food manufacturing site. You will be instrumental in raising the HR profile on site, by developing sound working relationships at all levels. You will be the first point of contact for HR queries such as employee relations, absences and HR processes. Therefore attention to detail and having a positive attitude is key.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Build sound relationships across site with managers and employees alike
  • Work in line with the people strategy/site aspirations
  • Assist in the development and improvement of daily HR tasks and processes
  • Work closely with the HR Assistant on engagement initiatives for site
  • Ensure compliance with processes and procedures, gaining buy in from those outside of the department
  • Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Be visible within the business upholding the company's values and ethos
  • Ensure records are updated and recorded
  • Support legislative directives
  • Support payroll with queries
  • Ability to drive change
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Efficient and pragmatic
  • Willingness to learn and develop

Essential Criteria:


  • Degree level or minimum CIPD Level
  • At least 3 years HR experience ideally within a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft packages particularly Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Organised and able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation and UK Law
  • Familiar with ACAS codes of practice
  • Knowledge of internal and external audits
