Role Description

  • Plan production lines efficiently to achieve required service levels and maintain safety stocks.
  • To analyse and challenge demand information to support site S&OP processes.
  • To support continuous improvement of planning team, associated systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities

  • Create and issue efficient production schedules for relevant production area.
  • Regularly review medium and long term demand related to the relevant planning area.
  • Ensure that demand is balanced versus available capacity to deliver optimum service levels to internal and external customers.
  • Evaluate production requirements and produce daily/weekly plans for relevant department.
  • Maintain safety stock levels within agreed parameters to ensure that service and lead time requirements can be achieved.
  • Support coordination of thirdparty production activities relevant to area of working.
  • Attend daily production meetings and communicate relevant information where needed.
  • Effectively communicate any delays/issues to the relevant departments.
  • General activities related to role e.g., stock checks, investigations into quality or production issues
  • Provide holiday cover and absence cover for planning colleagues.
  • Support other roles within the Supply Chain team as directed by the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Adherence to Trivium Packaging UK Ltd
  • Norwich Policies and Procedures and protocols.
  • All other tasks commensurate with the grade and skills, as may be directed by the Supply Chain Manager, or Norwich Site Manager, for which suitable training will be provided.
Requirements for the Job

  • Minimum GCSE in Maths and English Grade C or above, or equivalent.
  • A proven track record in meeting strict deadlines and coordinating multiple tasks in a time sensitive environment.


  • Computer literate

  • MS Office.
  • Knowledge of BPCS, FLUID and Print Plan.
  • A working understanding of Health and Safety best practice.
Experience

  • Planning Experience and a good understanding of the production process.
  • Experience of S&OP process.

  • A pro active approach with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Good communication skills ability to communicate at all levels.
  • In depth understanding of coating and printing process.
  • Dynamic ability to think on feet, prioritise ever changing workload and manage shifting priorities.
