AK Teaching are seeking a reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our partner schools and provide support in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of teachers.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain engaged in their learning and follow school policies and procedures.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and enjoy working with students in a supportive capacity.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- Follow lesson plans provided by absent teachers and facilitate learning activities as needed.
- Engage students in learning activities, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Support students with questions or concerns related to their coursework, providing assistance as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and report any issues or incidents to school administration.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure continuity of instruction and student progress.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of classrooms and learning materials as needed.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting, such as tutoring, mentoring, or classroom assistance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and colleagues.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing situations and student needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
- Knowledge of educational principles and practices, including classroom management techniques.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and comply with school policies and regulations.
Job Types:

Pay:
£80.00-£100.00 per day
