Duties:

-
1. Performs first

• Off, Patrol and final inspections, as directed.

2. Program/operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).


3. Read and interpret drawings and specifications


4. Visually inspect components for surface defects


5. Recommend rejection, rework, or re-test, as required


6. Reports inspection findings and results on the computer in MRP system


7. Generates non-conforming material reports (NCR) for items non-conforming items


8. Maintain records and prepares all paperwork relating to inspection and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR's).


9. Produce FAIR's as and when required


10. Maintain adequate measuring equipment and inspection fixture requirements


11. Makes recommendations for improvements, where needed


12. Supports the continuing 5-S and Lean manufacturing initiatives


Skills and Experience:

• Experience interpreting and working to customer drawings and specifications
• Good understanding of First Principle measurement techniques
• Experience using measuring equipment
• Good knowledge of FAIR process
• Ability to operate a CMM.
• Good computer skills
