Description

Sense is currently recruiting for a Head of Community and Events to join our team at our offices in King's cross, London.

This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week with a hybrid working pattern on a 1 year fixed term contract.

Lead, motivate and inspire the Community and Events team, a geographically diverse team of 9 at present.

Collaborate with colleagues in other teams including Digital, Communications, Policy, Trading or Volunteering, to deliver fully integrated supporter engagement activities.

Oversee the delivery of in year fundraising plans including all marketing and stewardship activities.

Contribute to the development and implementation of the Engagement strategy, ensuring supporters are inspired to actively participate in helping improve the lives of people living with complex needs.

Lead and oversee the delivery of the in-year and three-year Community and Events strategy.
Identify opportunities for development of the Community and Events strategy through new events, partnerships or products.

To succeed in this role, you will have:
Extensive experience of managing community based and/or challenge event fundraising.
Significant experience of managing a highly performing team
Demonstrable experience of setting and achieving ambitious growth targets
Experience in developing and implementing fundraising strategies and plans
Experience in leading projects, especially innovation development projects
Experience of setting, managing, and reporting on budgets.
Strong understanding of the community fundraising and challenge event landscape with a willingness to stay ahead of current trends and developments
Understanding of the regulatory environments including GDPR and fundraising regulations
Experience of a using CRM ideally Raiser's Edge
