Vehicle Fitter

  • Location: Kettering
  • Salary : £25k with OTE up to £28K plus excellent benefits including
  • Hours : Monday to Thursday 7.00am 4.15pm
  • Friday 7.00am 2.30pm
  • Job Role
  • Assembly and fitting of all mechanical and hydraulic components to 3.5T7.0T commercial vans or chassis cab/Unimog truck vehicle or other vehicles in compliance build quality and ISO standards.
  • Diagnostic analysis and troubleshooting of hydraulic/mechanical and build issues as they arise.
  • Organising and monitoring workflow through the Fitting Department.
  • The completion of function tests
  • The completion of all relevant documentation including check lists, inspection/test sheets in compliance with ISO standards.
  • Testing the feasibility of new products, processes and procedures.
  • The completion of other tasks e.g. vehicle electrical installations/panel wiring, welding, paint spraying
