Support Worker Sleeping Nights
- The Paddocks

Full-Time with Sleep-ins - £11.70 per hour + £50 per Sleep-in**Our teams provide individualised care and support for people with learning disabilities, autistic people and people with physical disabilities living in their community. At The Paddocks, our 2-bedroom service for
female customers located near White Waltham Airfield, we recognise that each person has unique interests, needs and preferences. We support customers to be as self-sufficient as possible and work closely with them and their support networks to explore options to help them reach their goals.

We are recruiting for a support worker to work
full-time hours and
3 sleep-in shifts a week on a set pattern;

  • Tuesdays 1pm start, finishing 9am Wednesday
  • Friday 2pm start, finishing 9am Saturday
  • Saturday 9am start, finishing 9am Sunday


A sleeping night, also known as a sleep-in shift, is where an employee is required to be present overnight, but is allowed to sleep during the shift unless their assistance is needed.

You must be ready to wake up and provide assistance to customers when called, which could involve helping with personal care, providing reassurance or responding to emergencies.

Secure facilities are provided.


Unless local, this role would be best suited for people with access to their own transport due to the location and limited public transport services.

Experience in the care sector would be beneficial but is not necessary as full training will provided.

In addition to the sleeping night, your role will be to support our customers in their day-to-day lives and could include assistance with personal care, managing medication, shopping and meal preparation, and supporting with emotional and physical wellbeing.

We also provide support with life skills such as improving confidence, managing finances and being part of the local community to maintain important relationships.
