Description

The beautifully located Shillingford Bridge Hotel is situated between Oxford and Henley, with 40 guest rooms and a large function room.

The River View Restaurant has beautiful views from which you can see the riverbanks of the Thames and builds a fantastic scenery to enjoy food and beverages.

We want to bring dining and eventing at the Shillingford Bridge Hotel back and make this the number one destination to be in the local area.

We are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable Finance Assistant to join its team for hrs per week.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, particular working with SAGE and and a hospitality background is preferred.


ACCOUNTS

  • Administration of invoices into SAGE and liaison with suppliers to ensure that all suppliers are reconciled and payment mandates can be prepared for payment
  • Arrange payments for suppliers, salaries etc. as directed by the Financial Controller
  • Responsible for accurate entries in Sage and looking after purchase ledger and sales ledger for specific companies
  • Maintain prepayments and accrual scheduled and other month end journals
Assisting with the preparation and accurate completion of monthly management accounts for the hotel including:
a. Cash reconciliation

b. credit card reconciliations

c. bank reconciliations


  • Ensuring reports are delivered within the deadlines agreed in the management agreements
  • Assist the Financial Controller with managing the properties' cash flow and making timely payments
  • Assistant the Financial Controller with submission of VAT returns
  • Submit the year end accounts to the various company's accountants and liaising with the auditors as required with FC
  • Assist in the chasing and reconciliation of sales ledgers
  • Communicated monthly meter readings to utility suppliers as required
  • Assist the Hotel Manager with queries they may have regarding the accounts
  • Provide Financial reports as directed by the Financial Controller
  • Help the Financial Controller with other ad hoc reports and tasks

PROJECTS/GENERAL ADMINISTRATION

  • Maintenance of an electronic paper filing system
  • Contribute to and maintain good relationships with owner, suppliers and the hotel team
  • PCI Compliance
  • Other reasonable requests

GENERIC

  • To be constantly vigilant in respect of Health & Safety and GDPR, and report any issues
  • To be constantly vigilant of security risks and immediately report any suspicious incidents
  • To undertake other duties from time to time as may be required

Job Type:
Part-time


Salary:
£11.50-£14.00 per hour
