Duration:
Mon - Fri, Within school mentoring. Possible full-time hours with right person

Salary:
£12.50 per hour + holiday pay entitlement

Are you self-motivated, resilient and patient, with excellent communication skills?

Mighty Men Of Valour is a charity that works with children with who require mentoring support. This may include children with disabilities, mental health issues, learning difficulties, or in need of support/mentoring generally.

Requirements:
Experience in Mentoring, Reliable and Responsible

You must have a current DBS.

Previous experience working in mentoring is highly preferred.

Duties can include:
1:1 support for students who have had a difficult past or with challenging behaviour.

Being a role model for them.

Some of them require a role model figure whereas others need a guidance and support

Responsibilities include:

Supporting the person
Providing intervention support
Writing and completing action plans/reports.
Building confidence and selfesteem.
Manage and reduce selfdestructive behaviour.
Help to access community and activities.
Help mentee manages anger issues.
Support emotional issues.
Help reduces antisocial behaviour.
Encourage positive life skills.

Person Specification:

Ability to take control as there may be behaviour issues
Strong Verbal and Written communication skills
Mature manner
Organised
Problemsolving skills
Nonprejudicial manner
Committed
