We are seeking to recruit experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across Primary schools in Caerphilly. The schools support learners in both Key Stage 1 and Key stage 2 and as a result we are looking for Teaching Assistants in or aroundCaerphilly who are experienced in these roles

As a Welsh Government framework staffing provider, we can give you the opportunity to work in Primary, Secondary and SEN schools as well as numerous privately run education provisions across Wales.

Overview:

Title: Teaching Assistant

Pay: £69.20 per day minimum

Location:CaerphillyHours: Ad Hoc, Short Term and Long Term
  • Monday to Friday 830am 330pm**

The role: What you'll be doing as a Teaching Assistant
-
Supporting and supervising educational games, sports and craft activities
-
Helping children with their reading
-
Preparing the classroom for a lesson
-
Working with pupils in small groups/ and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs
-
Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
-
Assist pupils at break time with their lunch
-
Engage pupils in the classroom and out of classroom activities
-
Work in accordance to the schools behaviour management policies
-
At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries or childcare settings - experience within an SEN setting would be beneficial

Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
-
References covering the last two years (no gaps)

Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
