Zero Hours Support Workers required

Greater Manchester
Credo Care is a leading Independent Fostering Agency, specialising in the care of children with additional needs.


Hours
Flexible hours across days, evenings and weekends.


Pay
£13.50 per hour for direct client time & travelling time to and from home to work, in addition to 0.45p per mile travelled for all journeys.


This rate also applies to:
- travel to/from the place to undertake the work
- your supervision time with your SSW (generally an hour)
- training (generally an hour for online training courses)

Role


Supporting our foster carers and respite carers, work will be offered on an "as required" basis, which can be accepted or declined.

You could be supervising children in family contact sessions, caring for them in the foster home or taking them out for leisure and fun.

You may be required to provide personal care to some children who have complex medical needs.


The work will be varied but extremely rewarding, knowing you have made a difference to the lives of our children and their carers.

You will receive ongoing support from an allocated supervising Social Worker and have access to 24/7 on-call support from our dedicated social work team.


Requirements for the role:


  • Ideally you will have previous experience caring for children or young adults with disabilities and be committed to provide outstanding care.
  • You must be IT literate with a good standard of written communication as you will be required to submit, via our online systems, concise and accurate reports on work with the children.
  • A full driving licence and access to car is essential.
  • You must be a UK resident with the right to live and work in the UK.
