This is an exciting opportunity for an interested individual to make a difference to people's lives who use alcohol or drugs.

This is a fixed term post to cover a current secondment until March 2024. IDART are keen to hear from anyone who is interested.

The IDART Social Work Assistant plays a key role in supporting individuals, families, and carers on their recovery journey.

The role of the IDART Social Work Assistant will be to assist the whole service to ensure that individuals who have alcohol and/or drug issues are given the best assessment to assist them in their recovery journey.

You will be crucial in supporting individuals who have Blood Borne Viruses and ensuring they are getting the right medical support and advice.

This role will cover the whole of the Perth & Kinross area and you will work with both colleagues from Health & Social Care from within the partnership as well as professionals from within Housing and Homelessness, the voluntary sector and Children, Young People and Family Social Work services.

You will have responsibility for assessment, risk assessment, personal outcome and recovery focused care planning and reviews.

The role will require you to be able to identify where children or adults are vulnerable and at risk and require you to plan, organise, and manage the delivery of support in line with policy, procedure, and best practice.

The post holder will be able to develop effective interpersonal relationships with service users, carers and other agencies, and work collaboratively with other locality based partners to develop opportunities to reduce social isolation and support personal recovery focused outcomes.
