The product in question is an industry leading management tool in the construction space, facilitating clear & transparent communication for construction projects, allowing all parties to react to change and manage the unknown by managing risks and any impacts to cost, quality or time.

What are we looking for?


The position of Product Owner is directly responsible for prioritising and assessing the value of any potential changes to our product.


This role would suit either:

  • An experienced Product Owner looking for a new challenge.
  • An individual who has experience in a different productrelated role and wants to move into Product Ownership.
  • An individual with a strong personality who isn't afraid to make decisions, can communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders, has fantastic attention to detail and problem solving skills in order to produce exciting, intuitive solutions that solve our user's problems.
About You?

  • Either have at least 1 years' experience as a product owner or have at least 2 years' experience in an alternate productrelated or softwarerelated function.
  • Good English, Maths and ICT knowledge and skills [GCSE level C or above]
  • The ability to use internal tools to maintain a product backlog, prioritised in order of value.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills; you will need to manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, being capable of managing expectations and gathering business requirements.
  • Able to make tough decisions; being accountable for your product, you will regularly need to make bold calls in the best interests of your customer and the wider business. Being able to articulate and evidence your chosen path will be key.
  • A thorough, methodical approach; capturing requirements for user stories requires a meticulous mind to ensure users expectations are met and that the user experience & development teams have the right level of detail to prevent any gaps or ambiguity in new features.
  • Empathetic; to represent and deliver for the customer, you need to be able to identify and understand their frustrations and pain points.
  • A creative problem solver, enterprising and entrepreneurial and capable of producing innovative solutions.
  • Shape and maintain a product roadmap based on iterative learnings and insights sprint after sprint.
  • Establish, monitor and analyse key usage metrics to help feed your priorities using an evidencebased approach.
  • Able to work independently with limited direct supervision but be a 'teamplayer'.
  • Ambitious and keen to build a career.

Nice to have, but by no means required:

  • Any software development / technical knowledge including working as or with software developers.
  • Experience working in a public facing role, working with customers.
  • Experience working in an environment that works using agile methodologies.
  • Any professional certifications in product ownership such CSM or PSM.
Specific responsibilities

  • Prioritise the most impactful backlog items that will benefit our customers and the business.
  • Work with your scrum team and provide direction and well defined, actionable user stories for delivery.
  • Observe the impact of product increments to assess whether they have had the impact we expected on our customers and the business.
  • Manage customer and product requirements by balancing many different input streams; filtering out any gems worth prioritising whilst maintaining a transparent product backlog.
  • Use your knowledge and insight to collaborate with user experience and development teams to produce intuitive, costeffective solutions that deliver value to the customer.
  • Maintain and communicate a transparent product roadmap.
  • Work with your scrum team to iron out any discrepancies, ambiguities or issues with
Package

  • Up to £30k dependant on experience
  • 37.5 Hours per week Monday to Friday
