We are currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our growing and dynamic team of legal professions in the Glasgow Office.

What will you be doing?


As Senior Associate, you will be responsible for handling a case load of predominantly litigated defender files within our case management system, ranging from counter-fraud files to EL and PL claims, including complex, high value catastrophic injury files and assisting with property damage and sensitive claims.

You will report directly to clients on all aspects of the litigation, including reserving strategy and tactics to ensure that clients are confident that their legal affairs are dealt with in a professional and competent manner, and to ensure the efficient operation of the team.

You will also be involved in client training and presentations as part of our added value services to our clients.


You will be working alongside two recognised Law Society of Scotland Specialists in Personal Injury Law whose experience includes a number of significant cases, such as appeals to the House of Lords concerning limitation in abuse cases and to the Inner House of the Court of Session regarding the applicability of workplace regulations.

You will also have supervisory responsibilities for the junior team, consisting of solicitors, trainees and paralegals.


You will be asked to carry out Advocacy at procedural hearings, debates and proofs and to instruct Counsel in complex claims.

What do I need?


You will need previous experience within a similar role handling a full and varied case load of defended litigated matters.

A knowledge or experience of Personal Injury Clams; preferably Defender and/or previous experience working within the insurance sector. Advocacy experience is essential.


You will need to bring an enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude with a desire to achieve and exceed targets combined with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The ability to demonstrate initiative and creative problem solving is desirable.
