Silchrome Plating is an award-winning metal finishing company based in Leeds but serving the whole UK & many customers around the globe.

We offer a comprehensive range of metal finishing services including electro-plating, Anodising, Phosphating, Powder Coating and much more. Silchrome currently supply a wide range of coatings to the Aerospace, Automotive, Domestic, Decorative, Industrial, Military etc.

We are looking for a hardworking Maintenance Assistant to oversee and manage a wide range of repairs for a commercial business.

These tasks include trade skills, repair, and maintenance works.

We are expecting you to be organised and have good time management skills as well as with strong general repair skills.

Key responsibilities:

Regularly perform maintenance jobs and repairs
Repair equipment and various machines.
Identify, document and report maintenance and repair work.
Suggest additional repairs when identified and needed.
Completing minor plumbing repairs.
Inspect light fixtures and repair light bulbs as needed.
Maintain and clean and service equipment i.e. electrical tools etc.
Making sure site is tidy and drains are not blocked.
Reliable in time keeping and attendance.
Hard working, conscientious & enjoys physical work.
Willing to work overtime when required.

Skills:

Experience in a maintenance role.
Utilise hand and power tools.
Time management.
Attention to detail.
Excellent communicator.
Understanding of commercial maintenance best practise.
Take pride in doing everything you do to the highest standard.

Sociable working hours:

07:45-16:30 Monday to Thursday

07:45-15:00 Friday

Overtime available paid at 1.3x base rate.

After a 3-month probationary period being employed you shall be enrolled into the company pension scheme, and also have the opportunity to receive a weekly bonus.

Immediate start available for the right person.
