£28,840 - £35,541, Rising in February (37 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per year)


As Built Environment Lecturer, you'll be working in a rewarding & varied role teaching learners pursuing futures in Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Site Management and Architecture


Courses are varied and somebody with a strong background in any of the above or other built-environment-related fields would be an ideal fit for this position.

You'll also help build relationships with employers to maximise opportunities for students and ensure our offering is cutting-edge and industry-relevant.


Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

  • Teaching a range of professional construction-related content such as the exciting new T-Level Design, Surveying & Planning for construction course
  • Creatively working to find interesting ways to teach and inspire students
  • Monitoring and assessing learner progress
  • Building relationships with employers to tailor course content
  • Championing our commitment to putting students first

After your first year with us, success would look like:

  • Delivered engaging professional construction content to learners
  • Effectively supported students in their courses
  • A high percentage of students have progressed from year one to year 2 of their chosen course of study or other college programmes
  • Engaged with the college's dedicated CPD programmes
  • Built Strong working relationships and supported colleagues

We're open-minded & welcome all applicants who believe they can build success with us, though ideally, you will:

  • Have qualifications and industry experience in the Professional Side of Construction, such as Site Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or Surveying
  • Knowledge of UK Construction law and project management techniques
  • Be willing to work towards formal teaching qualifications (fully funded by us) or already hold
  • Be enthusiastic about unlocking opportunities for the next generation
  • Be excited to bring fresh ideas to the table and help us constantly improve
