The role of a support worker involves supporting young people aged between 16-25 by encouraging them to focus on their strengths and build positive networks to achieve their aspirations.
This could be either by supporting them to return to education, finding meaningful work, choosing a career, or making new friendships.
- Supporting Young People within our supported accommodation where we provide a safe place for young people to live, learn and transition into adulthood.
- To Support our Young people to lead a life that is centred around enjoying freedom, enabling them to take as much control in their life as possible, and to exercise their rights, responsibilities and obligations as citizens.
- For support workers who work with children, enabling choice and control will involve close liaison with the childs family.
Responsibilities:
- Provide frontline support for people with physical or intellectual needs.
- Manage the individual support plans for each young person.
- Communicate appropriately with clients, service providers, and other professionals.
- Answer phones and respond to voice messages left by staff or clients.
- Assist with housekeeping.
- Complete daily reports and notes on each service user.
- Communicate with social workers
Salary:
£10.50-£12.00 per hour
