Our overall purpose is to keep people safe and fight crime and we are now looking for a Resourcing Advisor to join our People Services Department, working specifically with our Regional Organised Crime Unit, covering the North East.


Our acquisition and resourcing function ensure the force benefits from the right calibre, level and diversity of talent to support delivery of the wider strategic priorities.

We achieve these goals through effective workforce planning, resourcing, and recruitment.


You will play a pivotal role in supporting the resourcing of the force, providing specialist bespoke services to allocated areas of business within your portfolio.

You will be part of a close team that influence and support the attraction, recruitment, progression, and movement of staff whilst ensuring there is benefit from timely planning and delivery of robust resourcing solutions that support corporate plans.


What will I be doing?


You will work collaboratively with Senior People Partners to ensure resourcing activity is underpinned by people intelligence and is consistent with our force wide resourcing priorities.


Liaise with key stakeholders to influence and negotiate the movement of officers to support regional priorities and maintain operational effectiveness.

Maintain and manage resourcing data ensuring accuracy to feed into workforce planning reports.

You will work collaboratively with senior leads using resourcing intelligence to ensure workforce planning and resourcing needs are met.


You will also be responsible for the Talent Acquisition of Officers and Staff, both internally and externally, utilising the ATS (Applicant tracking system) and sourcing tools (e.

g LinkedIn, Indeed etc)

Understanding the people intelligence and resourcing impacts that resourcing and recruitment has within this department is vital.


You will work closely with colleagues in Finance Department to ensure budgets and funding streams are considered as part of both Resourcing and Acquisition decisions and overall strategic direction of the ROCU.


What will I need?

  • An experienced recruiter who seeks to broaden their knowledge and experience in resourcing within a large organisation
You will need the ability to manage large sets of data, have an eye of accurate reporting and be methodical in your approach to record keeping using Exel as a tool

Excellent in planning and organisation with the ability to prioritise and complete multiple responsibilities simultaneously

  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to influence and challenge opinions with a range of stakeholders
  • Be a logical and analytical thinker with proven ability to explore alternative options
  • The ability to influence and guide key stakeholders with experience in interpreting and presenting data to a wide audience
