Due to retirement we are looking to recruit an Administrator to join our dedicated, friendly team at Deddington Health Centre for 28.75 hours per week.

The core working pattern will be Monday , Tuesday , Wednesday , Thursday and Friday either or early shift then late shift alternate weeks).

You should have the flexibility to work across Monday to Saturday covering absence and enhanced services when required.

This role requires you to provide a professional administration service to the Practice, supporting the Patient Services, Clinical Support and management teams as required.

In addition, the post holder will need to display a high level of initiative, be able to communicate across all levels of the Practice and have exceptional attention to detail.


Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Summarising and management of patient records
  • Diary Date recall
  • Processing and generating of Care Plans
  • Data entry of childhood immunisations
  • Distribution of practice online consultations received from patients
  • Assisting Admin Team Leader with reaching practice targets, this may involve data entry and communication with patients
  • Patient Registrations
  • Patient Deductions
  • Death Administration
  • Managing record movements electronically
  • Roll out of various patient focused campaigns
  • Medication review recall
  • Managing clinic appointments in the event of staff absence
  • Cover all reception daily duties when necessary due to staff sickness or Annual Leave
  • Attend & participate in team monthly team meetings
  • Data Entry
Essential Skill Requirements

  • Good level of IT Skills (including experience of MS Office products)
  • Ability to multitask within a demanding environment
  • Ability to work effectively within and between teams to achieve common objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with a systematic approach to problem solving
  • High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise, plan and ensure objectives are met
  • Experience of working in a busy office with a strong customer service ethos
  • Excellent Customer Service skills

  • EMIS Web user
  • Previous experience in working in Primary Care or the NHS
