This is a responsible position and will mainly consist of programming and setting of a variety of Vertical Milling Machines with Fanuc controllersWe are a small, friendly company located close to Meadowhall.
Key areas of responsibility:
- CNC vertical milling of engineered components.
- Confident of working on small batch work and fully skilled to program, set and operate CNC vertical milling machines with FANUC controls
and ideally have experience with Heidenhein controllers. - Able to interpret engineering drawings and job routings to setup and program a wide range of milling operations on both repeat and new components.
- Identify and utilise best practice methods for work holding, tight tolerance machining and tooling.
- Fully experienced with machining of both standard and more varied raw materials.
- Able to work to tight time lines and multitask in a busy manufacturing environment.
- Fully competent with all types of inspection equipment, to verify component quality.
- Able to work under their own initiative, and able to communicate with people at all levels and self inspect their own and other operators work.
Educational requirements:
- Good generalist education, ideally a time served apprentice with wide range of engineering experience and basic IT skills.
Package:
- Mon-Thur 7am till 5pm
- Fri 7am till 3pm
- Permanent position
- Weekly Pay
