Cafe G East Dulwich located on the edge of Peckham Rye is looking for an Assistant Cafe Manager who will be responsible for the daily supervision of the cafe.
The Assistant manager will work closely with the Cafe Manager and kitchen team to ensure that staff are trained, and managed effectively and that the operation of the Cafe falls in line with company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the café, including managing staff and ensuring excellent customer service
- Create and maintain a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for customers
- Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages to customers
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and support
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role, is preferred
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and familiarity with different types of coffee beans
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle customer complaints or issues
- Knowledge of food production and safety regulations
- Familiarity with hotel or catering operations is a plus

£19,615.46-£36,862.48 per year
