Transport Planner

We are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner for our Transport Office in South Molton.

The Planner will be responsible for the scheduling and routing of drivers and HGVs, always ensuring a cost effective and compliant operation, working in line with internal procedures and industry legislation.

The Transport Planner should endeavour to ensure customer commitments are met, working with internal teams, and executing operational tasks as needed.

The position requires managing customer expectations and providing an excellent customer service experience.

The Transport Planner will work closely alongside the other Transport Planners and Managers to ensure policies and procedures are implemented and managed correctly.

The role requires management of all driver and HR requirements including sickness and holidays, updating spread sheets, and communicating with management on performance.

- _Ideally have experience of planning in the road transport industry_
- _Be organised and focused with a proven ability to meet deadlines._
- _Have good attention to detail._
- _Be comfortable working in a dynamic and busy traffic office._
- _Have an ability to work under pressure and demonstrate a positive approach to problem solving._
- _Ideally have experience of working with Manpac or other transport planning software._

This is a permanent, full-time position, Monday to Friday, to include working Saturdays within a rota.

Salary:
From £27,000.00 per year
