This is an exciting opportunity for someone to build and develop the administrative team to provide a brilliant service and support the General Surgery Department.

We are seeking a dynamic, well-organised, and pro-active administrator. You will need a working knowledge of all key RCH IT systems and processes.

You should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a good eye for detail, and be a true team player.

The ability to organise and prioritise work under pressure so as to meet strict deadlines is an essential feature of this job and ensure early escalation of any potential problems.

The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT) is the main provider of acute and specialist care services in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Ability to formulate and implement solutions to areas of concern with regard to waiting list accuracy and/or compliance with NHS targets.

Experience of waiting list management and understanding of local and national targets and RTT.

Ability to deal with distressing situations.

Medical Secretary and/or booking experience.
