Premier Engineering has engaged with a key client and an established Power Systems company providing a wide range of services to the power industry and high-profile clients.

Due to team & project growth an opportunity has arisen for a Control Engineer to joinon a permanent basis.

The successful Controls Engineer will be able to deliver expert technical knowledge to the Transformers Value Stream on electrical designs, making sure that the capability and function of the transformer products exceed customer requirements.

Role Purpose:

To deliver expert technical knowledge to the Transformers team on the Control section of Transformer design and Tap changer design, ensuring that the capability and function of the transformer product exceeds customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

The design of control and protection for transformers and reactors
Will be Responsible for producing Schematic control drawings for transformer control cubicals, Remotecontrol panels and tap changers.
Interact and communicate with internal supply chain management and electronics manufacturers regarding component related questions
Produce Manufacturing instructions for production
Support Aftermarket teams on tap changer replacements, retrofits and refurbishments.
Will be responsible to identify the necessary spare parts based on customer requirements
Perform tendering activities by interpreting the customer's specifications and offering the most costeffective control solutions.
Will be responsible for issuing contract information to allow the procurement of outsourced components for Control Cubicles, RCP and Tap Changers.
To ensure that all designs and applied technology are compliant with the relevant technical, safety and environmental standards and codes of practice.
Analysis of test results and feedback, inputting into the database for future use and reference.
Working with the customers to achieve the required specifications
