JOB TITLE:
CRO/PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • To work in conjunction with an integrated maintenance team, responsible for planning and execution of Production based work scopes. All work to be carried out in a safe, timely and quality manner to maximise plant and equipment availability, maintain asset integrity and achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure all work undertaken is safe, and in compliance and accordance with statutory Health and Safety procedures, maintenance manuals, specific work instructions, safe systems of work (Control of Work/Permit to Work) and all recommended safe working practices.
  • Actively participate in thorough prejob risk assessments for all nonroutine activities and confirm that they are accurately reflected in the resultant. Permit to Work.
  • Actively participate in any prejob site inspections/toolbox talks for maintenance activities.
  • Participation in IRIS and carry out safety tours, as required.
  • Ensure all required personal protective equipment (PPE) is appropriately used.
  • Ensure all work party members, especially thirdparty personnel, fully understand the purpose of, and can use, required emergency response equipment.
  • Ensure all personnel in proximity of works are fully aware of planned works, associated risks and control/mitigation measures in place.
  • Ensure compliance with established clean workplace practices.
  • Ensure all accidents, incidents, near misses and nonconformances are fully reported.
  • Under direction, undertake routine inspection, servicing and adjustment of equipment.
  • Under direction, support performance and condition monitoring and assessment.
  • Review maintenance work orders and ensure all requirements/preparations are fully undertaken before commencement of works.
  • Communicate with operations personnel for startup and shutdown of relevant equipment.
  • Maintain safety critical equipment in accordance with regulations.
  • Perform the role of Production Technician as required.
  • Ensure equipment and systems are reinstated to required condition and performance.
  • Support diagnostic activities and analysis to rectify faults.
  • Report all work completed in CMMS (Backbone).
  • Respond to 'out of hours' callouts, as requested.
  • Responsible for management and completion of competency prolife (CMS).
  • Carry out adjustments to process facilities under the direction of the Shift Supervisor or CRO.
  • Operate and control the external process and Utility facilities in a safe and efficient manner, thereby ensuring the continuous production of oil and gas.
  • Identify and report to the Control Room any plant/equipment malfunction that could deteriorate into a major incident.
  • Ensure that the plant operation meets contractual specifications.
  • Gather and collect data for the Process and Utility equipment and identify actions to be taken to minimise equipment and machinery failure.
  • Recover plant from any emergency shutdown and minimise loss of production, whilst adhering to operating procedures
  • Implement shutdown, isolation, depressurising and cleaning of equipment required for maintenance, purging and deisolating ensuring all work permits have been cleared before bringing back on line.
  • Assist maintenance technicians as required.
  • Complete prestartup/operating checks, ensuring all interdependent systems are available and bring into line any system under the direction of the SMS. Completes post startup/operating checks to ensure normal operating conditions.
  • In the event of an emergency, carry out duties as identified in the emergency response procedure or as directed by OIM. Personnel are required to undertake any training associated with these roles.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


  • Previous experience in the oil and gas/petrochemical industry in a similar or equivalent role.
