role reports directly into the CEO.

With reporting line responsibilities across marketing and technology this role will also work very closely to the Head of Marketing and CTO.

This role is ultimately responsible for ensuring the day-to-day business is running smoothly and teams working together.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with Heads of Functions to develop departmental strategy and focus
  • Oversee day to day business operations ensuring all teams are working effectively together following the business process
  • Plan for current work and anticipate new opportunity pipeline from initial reviews with potential businesses to the point of fund raises with an annual calendar to ensure there is oversight of upcoming deals, teams are prepared
  • Ensure all due diligence has been correctly followed and all activities in place to commence funding rounds
  • Ensure all relevant technology platforms are operating and being utilised appropriately by internal teams and optimised for clients. This will include the client facing investment platform and company web page
  • Manage any business escalations as appropriate to the CEO/Board colleagues, anticipate and mitigate issues as appropriate
  • Oversee and Coordinate and client engagement activities measuring successes or areas of opportunity
  • Manage third party vendor and partner relationships/suppliers of services, contractual terms and fees
  • Ensure Compliance requirements and due diligence are adhered to working with the internal Compliance lead
  • Work with Finance and monitor expenses and budgeting to ensure business costs versus benefit are optimised
  • Conducting post deal lessons learned on what has or has not gone well to improve each new deal, reporting on overall Operational performance and suggest improvements

Skills & Experience:


  • Proven experience as a Head of Operations, Operations Director or similar roles gained in Private Equity, Venture Capital or Financial Services companies
  • Understanding of the investment process from the initial investment evaluation to launching a fundraise
  • Experience of driving day to day operations and business processes ensuring delivery with efficiency
  • Ability to mentor and motivate teams to ensure delivery, completion of tasks to high equality and execute activities to support Client objectives
  • Experience of Financial Planning and Financial Analysis and organisational Health Snapshots, with knowledge of data, analytics, reporting and scenario planning
  • Ability to problem solve, be agile and think outside the box
  • Experience of managing people or teams with the ability to deal with people related issues or resolve conflict for conducive outcomes for all
