Multi-Trade Operative


Location:
Stevenage, SG1 4QX. Field Based covering a radius of approx. 60 miles of Stevenage


Salary:
Competitive


Job type:40 hours per week. Monday to Friday. Full-time, Permanent.

Based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, we operate within an approximate 50-mile radius, covering areas of the South East, Midlands, Anglia and London.

We are focused on building long term relationships with our clients by adding real value to their own service offering and by providing excellent customer service.


The Role:

Working within an established, family-run, building company, specialising in insured building repairs. With an expanding workload we are looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Tradesmen to join our growing team.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Plastering and repairing walls and ceilings
  • Painting and decorating
  • Tiling
  • Basic plumbing
  • Joinery and hanging doors
  • Bricklaying
  • Carry out work to high standards
  • Complete schedule of works issued in agreed time frame
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Take responsibility for flagging variations in work against schedule
  • Manage own time effectively

Skills and qualifications:


  • Holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent customer service
  • Ability to deliver a great quality job on time

You must:


  • Hold a full UK drivers licence
  • Have at least 3 years' experience working as a multiskilled operative
  • Be hardworking, punctual and reliable
  • Have a good work ethic
  • Be respectful towards clients and the public
  • Have pride in your work with a good eye for detail
  • Provide full references and provide proof of your right to work in the UK
  • Team player
  • Proactive/uses initiative
  • Complete a DBS check
