Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Accounts Assistant and Payroll to join the Rochcare team at our head office.

The role will manage the finance operations for a small group of care homes in the north west.


Key Responsibilities
Purchase Ledger

  • Enter invoices onto the Purchase Ledger timely and accurately
  • Resolve supplier queries in a timely manner
  • Manage supplier payments including loading of payment onto the bank BACS
  • Reconcile supplier accounts
  • Enter onto the accounting system & payment of employee expenses
  • Reconcile Petty cash account each Month.
  • Other ad hoc duties as and when required
Sales Ledger

Assisting with sales ledger and credit control as required.

  • Enter & create invoices & credit notes in the Sales Ledger in a timely manner
  • Resolve all customer queries
  • Accurate processing and allocation of customer receipts
  • Maintain credit control of outstanding debt
  • Liasing with local authority with regards to payments
Payroll

  • Collecting payroll information from the care homes.
  • Calculating wages,sickness and deductions on payroll software.
  • Processing wage slips.
  • Submitting reports to HMRC.
  • Making PAYE payments to HMRC each month in accordance to their deadlines.
General accounting & other duties

  • Maintain accurate records of transactions
  • Reconciliation of main bank accounts
  • Review spending against budgets with departments
  • Oversee Cashflow Management
  • Administration tasks within the finance team such as filing & scanning

Computer Skills
Sage 50 accounts

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Word

Microsoft Outlook

knowledge of payroll and accounting processes

Remarkable commercial acumen and strategic business knowledge

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to persuade and influence

Committed, enthusiastic and able to use initiative to drive the business forward


Salary:
£24,000.00-£25,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:


  • Accounting and payroll: 3 years (preferred)
  • Sage 50: 3 years (preferred)
