An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Picker / Packer to join the UK's leading Vehicle Recycling Company based in Skelmersdale Lancashire.

We are Hills Salvage & Recycling Ltd.

As Hills continues to grow, we have an opening for a Picker / Packer in the warehouse Department at our Headquarters - Skelmersdale site.

This role will suit someone with high levels of energy, who is extremely self-motivated and is capable of working with a degree of autonomy.

Applicants need to be computer-literate, although training in specific company software will be given. Good communication skills, organisational and problem-solving skills are a must for this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs ticketing, picking, packing, counting, housekeeping and safety functions, performs any needed quality audits, updates system
  • Order Picking Parts for shipment.
  • Matches packing list information to actual packed merchandise
  • Pack, and mark stock items, using identification tag, stamp, or other labelling equipment
  • Identify incorrect/short shipped items and immediately notify Team Leader
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld devices
  • Experience in fast paced Distribution Centre environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Data entry skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
General Housekeeping1. Keep the warehouse and yard clean and tidy.2. Remove and dispose of all rubbish within appropriate recycling bins daily3.

Keep storage of stock organised and clean and photo motor car partsJob Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£18,532.00-£20,800.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Overtime
