Position Summary:

We now have an exciting opportunity for a factory and warehouse HR Business Partner within our Architectural Coatings business at PPG.

We're looking for a credible team player who has experience of unionised environments to join our supportive team.

You'll understand UK employment law and will partner with local leaders to build a high engagement culture, with a focus on developing team members and supporting them to achieve their full potential.

This role reports to the Senior HR Business Partner for the AC EMEA West/Central region.

Key Responsibilities

Be a trusted partner and advisor to the site leaders and colleagues, interpreting data to identify talent, reward, engagement, performance, culture and capability, building actions to meet the needs of the site.
Provide support and advice for local issue resolution (including employee relations, and performance management) and policy adherence, using standard global, regional and local practices and guidelines where required.
Collaborate with local leaders to improve standard processes (e.g., talent, rewards, engagement, and succession and development).
Develop learning and development programmes for employees and line managers to build their competencies and support their career development
Partner with local leaders to build an employee engagement plan to accelerate progress and achieve site targets
Use PPG people processes, ensuring data and records are accurate and kept up to date

Qualifications

35 years experience in the manufacturing industry would be advantageous
35 years experience working in a unionised environment is important
Project management skills
CIPD qualification (or equivalent)
